TBP's Four Fave Looks Via Instagram

 The Basic-Not-So-Basic Dress

I've been itching to do a blog post but no new photos for ya yet! (But don't worry - bunches and bunches of ideas) Instead, I figured I'd work my #OOTD instagram photos from the past few months… then I realized I could CATEGORIZE THEM. Of course, then I realized I'd look like an egotistical psycho. Lots and lots of Lindseys. But a psycho with a pretty extensive closet. With all honesty, I don't think it's that big but then looking at 20 outfits and seeing only 2 clothing pieces repeated (the green pencil skirt) - well, okay then! Not too shabby. Here is some of my favorite looks that I wear on the daily. Enjoy!

If you could categorize your looks what would your 4 groups be??

Instagram Travel Photo Journal

My favorite way to pack: All the beach accoutrements and not much else!
A few weeks back my boyfriend's sister, Megan, came to Singapore the same time that we had a weeklong vacation. Megan really wanted to see tigers and we knew Thailand was just the place for that. It was a super-duper hardship going back to Thailand and all but hey, what are families for?! ;-) We didn't stay very long - just long enough to soak up some sun, grab some delicious cheap food & drinks, stroke some big kitties, and get tons of cheap massages before we jumped back on a plane to check out Malaysia (photos of that to come!)
Instagram
Can't start vacation without the obligatory yummy, fruity drink. And come on! It was two for one!
Me, my boyfriend, and our 10 billion freckles.
Patong Beach. A crowded beach but I love the vibe.
Megan at Tiger Kingdom. These weren't even the biggest cats! They weren't drugged so they were pretty alert and frisky half the time. The other half of the time they acted like any other cats - lazy and totally unimpressed by us.
I don't know who looks more cuddly - my bf or the big kitty! Also, I am kicking myself that I didn't get an OOTD photo of this gorgeous tropical dress for y'all.
Patong's night life is craaaaazy. I have never seen so many sequins and heels at a beach town in my life. It's awesome for people watching.
One of the beautiful corners of Thailand.
On the beach at night you can buy lanterns to make wishes. Then you watch your wishes fly off into the stars.
Second day in Phuket, Thailand.
We ate so well at this place! Margaritas, steaks, creme brûlée. Mmmm!! Can't get a feast for that price in Singapore.
Also cheap massages. Stephen maxes out on these like no one I've ever seen. He's in full princess mode but who can blame him?
Bye, Thailand! Until next time. <3

OOTD Lately

Sometimes it just feels glorious to get a bright, spankin' new white tee, don't it?
Oi, I haven't done a post in a while! Mi Scusi. A lot has been been happening at work, having visitors, vacation, trying to figure out how to pay bills in a new place... life, ya know. Being busy also makes it harder to research what shiny new play toy I want next (DSLR camera). So bear with me, please! If you follow me on instagram, I apologize for the redundancies of these OOTD photos. If you don't, you can follow me on http://instagram.com/lindseydish. Also comment below with your instagram name if you also OOTD from time to time (yes, I changed it to a verb right there!)

This gorgeous pastel 60's-ish housedress I found at New2U (like, one of the ONLY thrift stores in Singapore; to be so limited in thrift store selections severely depressed me for a week.) Why do I look like I'm doing a bad job pretending to be a CIA agent? Watch less Scandal, Lindsey...
Black, white, and mint. So fresh and clean, son!
So I bought these pants because I sometimes forget I'm a fat-bottom girl. Tried 'em on at home and hated them until I found out about this tumblr, Giant Pants of the 30's. Realized I could totally work with this. I now love them and will be doing a proper post in the future about these.
It's my birthday and I'll get a kitschy if I want to! I told you I was currently obsessed with fruit jewelry.
Sucker for sunhats. But I guess you can't blame me with this translucent-pale skin.
Another find from New2U. One exciting thing about living in Singapore is being able to dip into different fashion styles from other cultures & countries. This top is inspired by a traditional Chinese cheongsam/qipao. I also want to get my hands on lots of Indian kurta tops.
No lie. What I usually wear when I'm not working.

Instagram Travel Photo Journal

This is my last post about my trip to Thailand last week. I recently got a new phone (HTC One) which I LOVE and what better way to get acquainted with a new camera than by taking ten million photos of vacation? Here are some of my favorite photos. To see more of the vacation or what I do on a regular basis as an expat, go to http://followgram.me/lindseydish (on your computer) or http://instagram.com/lindseydish (on your phone).

1. Best way to travel in an airport - super duper light!
2. The restaurant attached to our bungalows had all these cool skulls decorated everywhere. And they still had all their christmas and new year's decorations up. I loved it!
3. The view from our breakfast table.
4. No question about it - this pale irish girl's gotta have a sunhat ALWAYS.
5. Mandatory beach sunset.
6. Everywhere around Koh Lanta is hand painted signs. It gives the island a very kitschy, crafty feel. Good stuff.
7. Me and my boo enjoying midday cocktails - that's what ya gotta do on vacation!
8. Another view of "our" restaurant - lounge pillow-chairs and a great beach view.
9. Oh, ya know. Just another gorgeous beach sunset.
1. Our 10th time scuba diving!
2. One of the best things about scuba diving is getting to hang on the boat all day - and watch other boats go by!
3. Not on an actual instagram photo, just regrammed from one of the professional divers that accompanied us on our dive.
4. Our dive had beautiful rocks, caves and cliffs above and below the water.
5. Hanging on the boat.
6. Our boat broke down, so we took many, many naps.
7. Starting the 2nd morning by laying by the pool.
8. All the swim suits! Cheap shopping in Thailand.
9. The goodies I bought - love my high-waisted $30 suit!
