Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

This post was so much fun to shoot with my mom. Looking through her closet she didn't have anything red which is what I really wanted to wear with these fabulous shoes. After combing through her closet, I remember I had a summer dress I had left here. Put a long sleeve shirt underneath and a cozy flannel scarf over and summer is a long, distant memory!
Now back to these shoes. The heels are so high but they are so comfortable! And THE BOWS. And it's animal print. They make me feel so glamorous!

I sincerely hope that you have a wonderful Christmas filled with love no matter where you live and who you are with. I am so blessed to be spending the holidays with my family and my heart feels so full.
To all my readers, Merry Christmas!

Just Slip a Sable Under the Tree

Saturday night I went to a Christmas party and knew exactly what I was going to wear. My mom has had this amazing tartan wrap skirt in her closet - it's excellent quality wool, with the blanket-like fringe running down the edge of the wrap. The pictures don't show it, but it's pretty sexy (more so that I was anticipating!) because when I walk, the skirt opens up to show a lot of leg.
To give the outfit a little funk, I added my mom's animal print sandal heels over tights. Then to add to the holiday feel, a necklace of pearls and gold chains and I pinned a gold bow to my shirt. Finish it off with a red lip and my little tassel purse and I'm ready for some holiday cheer!
Hope your holiday season is going just as glamorously!

The Huntsman and Her Dog

Here's my first post in America!!! I am so so happy to be home with my family, my friends, and my fur babies. I'm also excited to be able to show you a few winter looks!

Because I don't have any winter-appropriate clothing in Singapore, I've been borrowing a lot of clothes from my mom's beautifully organized walk-in closet. It's pretty much perfection because she's the same size as me, has exceptional taste (who did you think I got my taste from??) and it challenges me to explore new styles I wouldn't have picked out for myself.

My mom got this blazer at a consignment shop back in the 90's when consignment stores weren't the thing they are today (like perfectly curated vintage boutiques or Plato's Closet). She said that even when she bought the blazer it was already probably a decade old. And now 25+ years later, this jacket has stood the test of time - in style and in quality. I absolutely love the 1940's British Huntsman vibe it has. The tweed, the pockets, the tailored sleeves and how it cinches perfectly in the waist - sublime.

To keep the hunting vibe going, I wore my amazing riding boots, a little horn pin, a bird pin, and then my very own hunting dog!

This is Ricky, one of the three loves of my life, my puppies. He's a rescue dog that's part Jack Russell and boy, does he love to hunt! I'm actually surprised at how docile and calm he is in these photos. All three of my dogs have distinct personalities; Ricky is the sweet, sensitive one that nuzzles his face into mine and barks to get extra affection. I am eating it all up!

I can't wait to show you more winter and holiday looks while I'm in Georgia. Hope you're having just as relaxing and happy holiday break as I am!

The Easy Breezy

My boyfriend described this outfit as "Elenore Roosevelt going to a rave." He's a self-proclaimed pop culture (and fashion) idiot but man, sometimes he is dead-on. I get a very 1940's vibe every time I wear this olive-green pencil skirt. As a last minute decision, I slipped on my peacock hair clip that I think really clinched the vintage feel. But with a little modern twist via my see-through lace top.

I've only got three more days in Singapore before I'm back home in the sweet ol' state of Georiga. I can't wait to have some real winter posts up for y'all soon. Oh yeah, and to see all my family and friends of course!

It's Beginning to Look a (Little) Like Christmas

In my last post I mentioned going to the ballet for Thanksgiving. This is what I ended up wearing… after I went through a ton of options while still yelling, I have nothing to wear! before I finally decided on this. I'm telling y'all, being a fashion blogger is like, harrrd
I decided on something simple yet festive. When in doubt, wear sequins - especially at this time of year! Not only do I love the gold shimmer on this top, I love that it's a little baggy; it gives off this effortless but still va-va-voom appeal. Pair it with a black high-waisted A-line skirt, nude shoes to give me long legs and a red lip and I'm ready to be kissed under the mistletoe!
