Fresh and Funky Leather

This outfit is the proof that you should shopping with your friends every once in a while. When it comes to shopping for me, I'm not a big fan shopping with other people. I'm not a meanderer. I like to go in, yank the hangers aggressively, try on things quickly and systematically, get what I want, and get out. But one day, my dear friend and incredible photographer/artist (she's responsible for taking that picture of me in the snow on the side of my blog there ---->), Sasha Velvet, went shopping with me to all our favorite little Korean thrift stores. She pulled out this black leather vest - totally her style but something I would have never picked out. She loves black; I love color. She has this cool, edgy, rocker style; I have a feminine classic style. But boy, am I glad she did! This vest fits me like a glove and is so flattering. And when I saw the tag, I almost died! It's actually real leather that probably would go for around $100. I got it for $10.
So the moral of the story is, sometimes you need an outside perspective (and a fabulously chic friend). They keep you fresh and funky.
